State the type of reactions taking place in the below equations and also balance these equations.

(i) K + H2O - KOH + H2

(ii) CuSO4 + NaOH - Cu(OH)2 + Na2SO4

(i) Single displacement reaction. K displaces H2 from water.
Balanced equation : 2K + 2H2O ----> 2KOH + H2
(ii) Double displacement reaction. Components of the two reacting molecules are exchanged.
Balanced equation : CuSO4 + 2NaOH -----> Cu(OH)2 + Na2SO4
