Question

1) What is the relation between K.E &Velocity of an Object??

2) Relete Temperature to K.E

3)Write an expression for the workdone when a force is acting on an Object inthe direction of its displacement/

Open in App
Solution

Hi

Kinetic energy = 1/2mv2 where m = mass of the object, v = velocity

Kinetic energy = (3/2)kT where k = Boltzmann's constant and T = Temperature in kelvin scale

Work done = Fdcos(θ) Where F = force, d = dispalcement, θ = angle between the force and the displacement.

But here θ = 0 (since force is acting on the object inthe direction of its displacement)

Thus W = Fdcos(0) = Fd (since cos(0)=1)
