a)In condensation process gas phase of the substance is converted to liquid phase at constant temperature.The energy released will be is termed as latent heat of that particular gas.Like we can called latent heat of steam is released to convert it into water.

b) ​In solidification/freezing, liquid phase of the substance is converted to solid phase at constant temperature.The energy released will be is termed as latent heat of that particular liquid.Like we can called latent heat of water is released to convert it into ice.
