The spreading over the smell of perfume is the result of Diffusion process. As the Law of Diffusion says that if there is a large concentration of any gaseous molecule then it move from higher concentration of it to lower concentration. Hence, the molecules of perfume vapor spread through out the surroundings and we can smell it even from a distance.
