Q.2=A concave mirror is placed in water .Will there be any change in focal length ?Give reasons.

Solution

Hello,

The frequency of light remains unchanged after refraction. The velocity of light and the wavelength of light changes whenever there is a change in medium, following the equation: c = νλ.

The focus of a concave mirror doesn't depend on the medium on which the mirror is placed. Because the focal length depends on the physical structure (curvature) of the mirror and has nothing to do with the type of material used to make the mirror.
