How does a dynamo-meter measure force or pressure?
Dynamometers or Dynos are electronic devices which are used to measure power, force or torque (rotating force) produced by an engine. All dynamometers work on the same basic principle; Newton's Second Law of Motion. It states that the force required to move an object will be the product of its mass and acceleration its required to be moving with. If we know the mass and also acceleration ( both which we do in this case) the force and thus work done can be calculated.
Theses devices are coupled with the engines and when the engines are made to run the acceleration, rpms etc. can be measured using computers.
