Solution

As we know in a solid molecules are fixed at its position. when one part of molecule receive heat from external source it start vibrating at its position and also knocks to the neighboring molecules and in this way transfer the heat energy from one end to other end and whole system gets heated without any movement of molecule. This process of transferring the heat from one end to other is known as conduction.
