Name three pollinators and describe their role in pollination ?

Open in App
Solution

The three pollinators can be Honeybees, Butterflies and Moths.

Generally, these pollinators (insects) carry away the pollen grains on their body and land the pollens on the stigma of the flower. If they land the pollen on stigma of same flower, then it is called as self pollination and if on stigma of flower of another plant, then it is called as cross pollination.
