Q]How does Respiration in Plants takes place?
Plants do not have any specific organs for exchange of gases. They have open pores called stomata and lenticels for the exchange of gases with the atmosphere. Inside the cells, cellular respiration occurs in a manner similar to all other cells. Glucose is broken down to carbon dioxide and water in presence of oxygen and energy is released during the process. Steps of cellular respiration are:
1) Glycolysis
2) Kreb's cycle
3) Electron transport chain
