Q. What are the physical states of dispersed phase and dispersion medium of an emulsion?

In case of emulsion, both the disperse phase and dispersion medium is liquid. Hence emulsion is known as liquid in liquid type of colloidal solution.
Emulsion is of two types,
1. Oil in water { where oil is dispersed phase and water is dispersion medium}
2. water in oil. { in this case water is dispersed phase and oil is dispersion medium}
