(2) Right hand thumb rule

Solution

(1)Fleming’s right hand rule:

Fleming’s Right Hand Rule is used to find the direction of the induced emf of a conductor moving in a magnetic field. The direction of current induced in a conductor can be obtained by holding the thumb, index finger, and the middle finger of your right hand mutually perpendicular to each other. In this situation, the thumb indicates the direction of the motion of the conductor, the index finger points along the magnetic field, and the middle finger points along the current induced in the conductor.

(2) Right hand thumb rule:

Maxwell’s right hand thumb rule indicates the direction of the magnetic field for a known direction of current. If the thumb of the right hand points along the direction of the current, the curled fingers of that hand give the direction of the magnetic field due to the current.
