Solution

Toxic wastes, which are produced in the body during the functioning of cells, are harmful to the body. Thus, they are removed from the body by the process of excretion.

The organ system that performs the function of excretion is known as the excretory system.

The primary componentsof the excretory system are the kidneys, the ureter, the urinary bladder, and the urethra.

Nephron is the structural and functional unit of the kidney. They acts as filters and removes the waste products from blood and forms urine. They are present in large number in the kidney. The useful components are absorbed back into the blood.
