Tea Cultivation is mainly comfined to North Eastern states of Indiua while Coffee cultivation is confined to south western states of India?

It is because of favourable climatic,topographical and soil conditions.
For eg.1. The coffee plants generally cannot tolerate high levels of Aluminium in soils whereas tea plants can deal with enriched Aluminium content of the soil.
2. The ideal conditions for coffee is on the lower tiers of the landscape where the soils are more alkaline and contain less amounts of Aluminium and more calcium.This condition is more suitably available in south eastern Ghats whereas Tea requires higher elevated areas.
