Solution

Conduction Convection Radiation
1) Any utensil when placed onto a stovetop and when the stove is turned on, the utensil becomes very hot due to the conduction of heat from the burner to the utensil. 1) When we heat a liquid in a flask, the particles of the liquid at the bottom, get heated, become lighter and actually rise up. The cold liquid particles from above at lower temperature being heavy come down due to gravity and receive the heat. The process is repeated. In this way a convection cycle is set up. Infact, all fluids are heated by convection. 1) When we stand near fire, we feel hot as heat comes to us through radiation.
2) When an iron is placed on a shirt to be ironed, heat from the iron is conducted to the shirt, which removes all the wrinkles from the shirt and make the shirt to look sharp. 2) In an air conditioner, the cooling feature is placed at the top. Thus, warm air rises up to the cooling feature, it is replaced by cold air, and the room gets cooled down. 2) On a hot day, when a bicycle is left in sunlight, after sometimes, it is found that the bicycle becomes very hot due to the radiation of heat from the sun.
3) When you place an ice cube in your hand, the ice will start to melt due to the heat conducted from your hand to the ice cube. 3) During the day, the strong solar heat warms the ground and the sea water. The air in contact with the warm ground is heated by conduction. It expands and become lighter than the surrounding air. As a result, the warmer air rises and the cooler air from above moves down to fill the space. This creates a sea breeze near a large quantity of sea water. In this way, thermal convection cycle is set up, which transfers heat away from the ground. 3) A solar cooker is a device which is used to cook food by utilising the heat radiation coming from the sun.
