During ventricular contraction, two valves present in the right and left side of the heart prevent the backflow of blood to auricles by getting closed.
Bicuspid valve (Mitral valves) is the valve present in between the left atrium and left ventricle to regulate the blood flow in the left side of the heart. Tricuspid valve is the valve present in between the right atrium and right ventricle to regulate the blood flow in the right side of the heart.
