Open in App
Solution

1km = 10,000dm
96 km = 960,000 dm

For front wheel:

Circumference = 10 dm
Number of revolutions made in covering 10dm = 1
Number of revolutions made in covering 960,000 dm = 96000010=96000

For hind wheel:

Circumference = 16 dm
Number of revolutions made in covering 16 dm = 1
Number of revolutions made in covering 960,000 dm = 96000016=60000

Number of extra revolutions made by the first wheel than the second wheel = 96000-60000=3600096000-60000=36000
