Question

The current I in a wire passing normally through the centre of

a conducting loop is increasing at a constant rate. Will therebe any current induced in the loop? If yes, indicate thedirection of the current.

Solution

Magnetic field produced due to the current in wire is in the shape of the circular loop around the wire.
Therefore this magnetic field produced is parallel to the plane of the loop, hence flux through the loop is zero,
so no induced current will be there is loop.
