The day before yesterday, Chris was 7 years old. Next year, she'll turn 10. How is this possible?

Dear Student,
This is true if we assume that Chris' birthday is on the 31st of December and today is 1st January. Therefore Chris would be 7 the day before, which is 30th December and turned 8 on the 31st. Therefore, he'll turn 9 this year and 10 the next.
