least count (l.c) = 0.01 cm , error = 0.07 cm , linear scale reading = 2.90cm,

absolute reading = measured reading - error
= linear scale reading +circular scale reading - e
= 5x(0.01)+0.01+2.90 -0.07
= 2.89 cm
