Solution

Answer :

Scale of a map is 1 : 200000

1 ) So in map 1 cm = 200000 cm on ground
And we know 1 km = 100000 cm
So,
200000 cm = 2 km
So,
in map 1 cm = 2 km on ground

On ground 2 km is represented by 1 cm on the map . ( Ans )

2 ) we know 1 cm = 2 km

Area represented on graph As 1 cm2 , that equal to in km As : area ( 2 × 2 = 4 km2 )

So,
Area 4 km2 can be expressed by 1 cm2 on the map . ( Ans )

3 ) We know

1 cm = 2 km
And
Area 1 cm2 = 4 km2
And we know , Area of plot of land = 20 km2 , So

20 km2 = 204 = 5 cm2

So,
The area 5 cm2 on the map represent the plot of land of 20 km2 . ( Ans )
