Solution

Stomata of some plants open in the night. These plants are usually xerophytic and this is an adaptive feature amongst them. The stomata remain closed during the day to avoid loss of water by transpiration and evaporation due to surrounding dry air and heat. Hence the stomata opens at night for gaseous exchange and avoids water loss as well.
