Solution

a+6d= 7th term of the A.P.a+2d= 3rd term of the A.P.According to the question:a+6d+a+2d= 62a+8d=6a+4d=3a=3-4d ....(1)And, (a+6d)(a+2d)= 83-4d+6d3-4d+2d=83+2d3-2d=89-4d2=8-4d2=8-9d2=14d=±12Put the value of d in the equation (1), we get,a=3-4d a=3-4±12a=1 or, 5Now, Sn=n22a+(n-1)dS20=2022(1)+20-112 (When d=12)S20=102+20-112S20=20+1902=2302=115And, S20=2022(1)+20-1(-12) (When d=-12)S20=102+20-1(-12)S20=20-1902=-1502=-75
