the water in the sea is came from rivers .the water in the sea is saline but the water in the ruiver is not saline .Why ?

Sea water is salty as it contains number of minerals and ions like sodium ion, magnesium ion, chloride ion, calcium ions etc. Due to presence of these salts it tastes saline.
Some rivers or lakes are also saline like sambhar lake. It also has ions present in it.
But many of the rivers do not taste saline, although they also contains ions. This is due to the reason that salinity is mainly due to the presence of Na+ ions, the saltiness of ca2+, ammonium ions and other ions is lesser.
As the concentration of these ions in a river is quite lower than the sea, therefore it hardly taste saline.
