There are seprate areas for association where this sensory information is interpreted by puting it togehter with information from othe receptors as well as with information that is already stored in the brain.Explain.
Association areas are the areas in the brain where sensory information is associated with the information stored in the memory. If the information is already stored in the memory then our brain recognizes this and if there are other signals or information also reaching the brain then all the information is combined and interpreted as each information if taken as a single entity might not lead to a sane decision. So, all the information received from various receptors of the body is associated, interpreted, given meaning within the present context and, if necessary, a decision is made about the most appropriate response.
