Solution
The trees in the forest absorb the water from the soil. They perform the activity of photosynthesis by making use of this water. But the excess water is lost from the plant body. The loss of water from the plant body through the aerial parts of the plant mainly the leaves, in the form of water vapours is called transpiration. These water vapours are absorbed by the atmosphere and collect to form clouds. When the clouds are heavy enough they come back to earth in the form of rain. Hence forests play an important role in bringing rains.
