Solution

When ammonium hydroxide (NH4OH) reacts with hydrochloric acid (HCl), white colour fumes of ammonium chloride (NH4Cl)
is formed. Reaction involved is
NH4OH + HCl NH4Cl + H2O.
HCl gas is evolved when a salt containing chloride ion is treated with concentrated sulphuric acid.
so this can be confirmed by dipping a rod in ammonium hydroxide and brought near to the mouth of test tube. and white dense fumes are observed.
