this question is not related to 8th standard science

it is said that ruminents can only digests cellulose , then how will humans digest lettuce and other raw leafs which we eat?

these leaf also contain cellulose

Cellulose acts as dietary fibre and is not digested in our body and is eliminated without providing any nutritional value. These fibres are also important as it absorbs water thereby expanding the volume of the matter inside the intestines and also speeds up the bowel movements.
