though aluminium is more reactive than iron, aluminium powder dissolved in linseed oil is used to paint iron articles to prevent rusting. why?

It is because Aluminium being more reactive prevents Iron from reacting with atmospheric oxygen and hence reacts itself with the oxygen to form aluminium oxide (Al2O3) layer on it.Therefore these layer covers the iron particles from undergoing corrosion or rusting.
Linseed oil is used a binder in paints.
