Walk straight towards the mirror slowly and observe the image.

If the size of your image is same as of you then it’s a plane mirror.

If the size of your image increases while you are walking, then the mirror is a concave mirror. Remember, virtual, erect and magnified image is formed when an object is close to a concave mirror.

If the size of your image is a diminished one then the mirror is a convex mirror. As we know a convex mirror always forms a virtual, erect and diminished image.
