Through how many heart valves does blood pass as it moves from the lungs to the aorta?

Open in App
Solution

Blood from lungs (oxygenated blood) passes through left side of heart to aorta. In this passage it moves through total two valves .

One is between left auricle and leftventricle called as bicuspid valve. Bicuspid valve (Mitral valves) is the valve present in between the left atrium and left ventricle to regulate the blood flow in the left side of the heart.

Second is aortic valve (semilunar valve) present between left ventricle and aorta to prevent back flow of blood.
