Two blocks one of iron and the other of wood are immersed in water at same depth. Which will come upward first and why?

Naturally the wood comes up and the iron sinks.
When an object is put in a liquid, two forces are acting on it.
1) Weight of the object acting downwards and
2) Buoyant force (upthrust) acting upwards(which tends to push up the object)
