Two bodies A and B of masses m and 2m are in motion with velocities 2v and v respectively . Compare (I) their inertia , (ii)their momentum, and (iii) the force needed to stop them in the samne time.

for body1
p1 = m.2v = 2mv
for body 2
p2 = 2m.v = 2mv
so,
momenta are same

Comparison of stopping force
for body 1
F1 = ma = m.(2v - 0)/t = 2mv/t
and
for body 2
F2 = ma = 2m.(v - 0)/t = 2mv/t
so,
the stopping force is the same as well.
This means that the inertia will also be same.
