The kinetic energy is given as:
K.E = 12mV2
Kinetic energy of mass 1,
K.E1 = 12mV2
Kinetic energy of mass 2,
K.E2 = 12m(3V)2=9× 12mV2=9×K.E1K.E2K.E1=9K.E1K.E2=19
This is the required ratio of the kinetic energy of the two masses.
