Question

Two bodies of mass 1 Kg and 9 Kg are moving with same velocity . What is the ratio of their kinetic energy?

Open in App
Solution

Given,
Mass of bodies,
m=1 kg and m'=9 kg
Velocities of bodies,
v=v and v'=v (Both are moving with same velocities)
Kinetic energies are given by,K=12mv2=12×1×v2=v22----(i)K'=12m'v'2=12×9×v2=9v22---(ii)Now,KK'=v22/9v22=19or K:K'=1:9
