Both blocks stop together.

Because KE₁ = KE₂

There is need of same amount of work done by us to stop them.

So W₁ = W₂

=> F₁ s₁ = F₂ s₂

Here, F₁ = F₂

Hence, s₁ = s₂

Distance covered by both blocks is same before stop.
