Solution

Answer :

Given

Total distance = 500 km
Time take by red car
We know
Distance = Speed × Time
Time = 45 minutes = 4560 = 34 hr
Distance covered in 34 hr = 350 × 34 = 262.5 km
Remaining distance = 500 - 262.5 = 237.5 km
Time taken by red car to cover 237.5 km = 237.5275 = 0.8636 hr
Total time taken by red car = 0.8636 + 0.75 = 1.6136 hr

And
Time taken by Blue car
Time = 45 minutes = 4560 = 34 hr
Distance covered in 34 hr = 325 × 34 = 243.75 km
Remaining distance = 500 - 243.75 = 256.25 km
Time taken by red car to cover 256.25 km = 256.25350 = 0.73214 hr
Total time taken by red car = 0.73214 + 0.75 = 1.48214 hr

So,
We can see that time taken by blue car is less than the red car , so Blue car will win the race . ( Ans )
