Two cubes have edge 10 m. Their edges have been joined and form a cuboid. What will be the surface area of cuboid thus formed?

Solution

When two cubes are joined then cuboid is formed.
length of cuboid = l = 20m
breadth, b = 10 m
height, h = 10m
TSA of cuboid = 2[lb + bh + hl]
= 2[2010 + 1010 + 10*20] = 2[200 + 100 + 200] = 2(500) = 1000 m²
