Open in App
Solution

Let the third number be 100

First number is 20% less than the third number ,so the number will be 100 - 20% of 100

So the first number is 100 - (20/100) ×100

⇒ 100 -20 = 80

Second number is 25% less than the third number, so the number will be 100 -25% of 100

So the second number will be 100 - (25/100) ×100

⇒100 -25 = 75

Second number is less than the first number by 80 -75 = 5

So second number is less by % percentage = (5/75) ×100

⇒ 6.66% Ans
