Solution

Let the two numbers are x and yAccording to first condition:xy = 35 5x - 3y = 0 ..........1According to second condition: x - 5y - 5 = 12 2x - 10 = y - 5 2x - y = 5 ..........2Multiply 2 by 3, we get,6x - 3y = 15 ...........3Subtracting 1 from 3, we get,6x - 3y - 5x - 3y = 15 x = 15From 1, we get, 5 × 15 - 3y = 0 75 - 3y = 0 -3y = -75 y = 25So, the two numbers are 15 and 25.
