Question

Under what condition is average velocity and instantaneous velocity gets equal?

Open in App
Solution

Instantaneous velocity is the property of an object at a single moment, while the average velocity is at two different times. The slope of a position time graph at one point is the instantaneous velocity while the average velocity is the slope of the line joining the two points. If the motion of a body is uniform (with no acceleration), then these two are equal as the graph is linear.
