Proteins show enormous diversity because of reasons like their single stranded nature and composition from 20 different amino acids which have different chemical properties. Proteins fold in different tertiary structure and thus are capable of catalyzing vast number of reactions.
Two proteins along with their function are:
1. Haemoglobin: it is a globular protein whose function is the transport of gases in the body.
2. Keratin: It is a rod shaped protein which is a structural protein and forms the skin, hair, nails and hoof.
