We cannot synthesize vitamin A inside our body. We get it from our diet. The foods like cod liver oil, liver, sweet potato, spinach, carrot, broccoli etc. contain huge amount of vitamin A. when the food matters containing vitamin A get digested, it si absorbed from our small intestine in form of retinol which gets activated into retinal and functions in retina of eyes for the formation of rhodopsin.
