Solution

Dear Student!

Water is a bad conductor of heat. You must have seen land heats up faster than water. Water (H 2 O) does not contain oxygen molecule (O2) in it. It contains an Oxygen atom bonded with 2 Hydrogen atoms. H 2 O and O2 are different molecules all together.

Oxygen molecule (O 2) is required for "combustion" and not heating.
