we can fold the cartilage of the ear but we can not bend the bone in our body.why?

Cartilage is made up of cells called chondrocytes that are embedded in a matrix which contains collagen. This makes it flexible enough to be folded.

While bones are impregnated with calcium phosphate and stretchy collagen which does not permit any folding. Bones are hard.
