We connect various appliances in a circuit using connection wires made of copper.How does it affect the current in the circuit ?

The wires are made of copper because copper is a good conductor of electricity. Good conductor of electricity implies they have a lot of free electrons in themselves.
When appliances are connected in series , current across each of them remains same but voltage across each of them is different.
When appliances are connected in parallel, current across each of them is different but voltage remains same.
