we eat food composed of all the nutrients like carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals and water. after digestion these are absorbed in the form of glucose, amino acids, fatty acids, and glycerol. what mechanisms are involved in the absorption of the digested food and water ?

The mechanisms adopted for the absorption of various nutrients, minerals and water are Simple diffusion, facilitated diffusion, and Active transport or endocytosis. Insoluble fatty acids are broken down into micelles which get transported to lacteals in villi and are finally released in the blood stream.
