we know that cells are divided into 2 categories-prokaryotic and eukaryotic. My question is which group do the RBCs belong to? (they have no nucleus)
Red blood cells are eukaryotic cells as they have a nucleus when they are immature. As they grow and mature they loose nucleus because nucleus is not required to perform their functions. All animal cells and human cells are eukaryotic cells, they are not prokaryotic.
