we know that ice is solid then whyin polar region when some ice melts it converts into liquid but the solid ice i.e. not meltedis able to float on water.

Solid ice in polar regions floats on water due to less density of ice than water and remains solid due very low temperatures in polar regions.

Whereas in summers as the temperature rises, the ice melts and becomes liquid water.
