If such a lightning directly hits an aquatic creature swimming on the surface, it will be undoubtedly hurt or killed.When lightning strikes the sea or other large water bodies, it spreads out over the conducting surface. It also penetrates down and can kill the creatures in the nearby region.But in case of such vast water bodies lightning is dispersed into the water for only a very short distance.
