Ultrasonography is the technique of obtaining pictures of internal organs of the body by using echoes of ultrasound pulses.
This technique is used by doctors in the detection of stones in gall bladder and kidney, tumours in different organs and many other ailments.It is considered safe to perform ultrasonography on human bodies. There is no side effect of this process.
The disadvantages of ultrasonography are primarily related to the fact that it is heavily operator-dependent and this technique is costly. And also it is not available everywhere.
